Larry and DW make bowls from Corian

Two members of the scroll saw forum have started making bowls from Corian. The white round bowl was made by Larry, and the lobed muted-tone bowl was made by DW. The only substantial change from making wooden bowls was the substitution of CA glue for the wood glue usually used.

I'm pleased to share these innovations with you, and will continue to post pictures of work that reflects new applications of the basic approach. Thanks, Larry and DW, for sharing your work.

LI Woodworking Show

I spent yesterday at the LI Woodworkers Show, talking to people, and showing bowl construction to anyone not familiar with the technique. As always, it was a lovely show, and highlighted the projects made by the many talented members of the club.

Scroll saw work goes mainstream!

I am absolutely thrilled at being featured as "Today's Woodworker" in the Woodworkers Journal ezine. I queried the magazine as a long shot, since they are mainstream, not scroll saw, and many of their featured woodworkers are quite incredible. I feel honored to be included with this group. Please check out the link to see the Todays Woodworker article.
